I am Orsolya Fodor (Orsi). I am a freelance theatre director and stage director in Hungary. I also work as a dramaturg, teacher and performer in several cooperations and collaborations. In my work I attach great importance to mutual learning, knowledge sharing, as well as to the interchangeability and continuous redefinition of artistic personas. Theatre is my main channel of communication. Recently I have been interested in autofiction formats, the possibilities of found spaces and puppet theatre as a philosophy. I consider both implicit and explicit ideas and ars poetics expressed in theatre as equally relevant. The sacrality of space is at the centre of my research. My most important work, "Johanna", is set in an empty pool, where I explore the identity-forming power of vulnerability through my own religious past in the form of a vision-lecture performance.
