The Boy sets off into the wild. He crumbles away human relationships, he immerses himself in the world, this is the way to live, he feels the wind, the cold, the rain, the earth, the "dirt" on his skin. When he meets people, he meets them with this dirt on his body. He must not dare to be seen in any other way than in this state, dusty from the world. An important part of his personality is his mystery - he is misunderstood and he does his best not to be understood. Few of us dare to be lonely. And yet he is not lonely in the literal sense of the word, breaking down every wall between the world and himself, while the wall between his present and his past life grows higher and higher. When he comes back, perhaps he can talk to his father again, perhaps he will become a militant activist, fighting hunger in Africa. Maybe not, we don't know. He's not coming back. He would say it was worth it. Would he say it was worth it?

"Orsolya Fodor's direction and Anna Gaál's adaptation outline McCandless' story in a way that is enjoyable for the narrative tension alone. And while the audience is thrilled by the unfolding of the story, the questions that arose during the McCandless debates are also raised. Namely, what does freedom mean, whether we are capable of achieving our own ideas and, if so, what we are willing to sacrifice to achieve them. And beyond the personal, the universal level also emerges when it comes to the question of how to make sense of the relationship between humans and the wild. " - Kata Havran
